Sheila Taylor, CIP, CRM, IGP, has more than 30 years’ information management experience as a consultant, educator, and practitioner.
Sheila is the Partner & CEO of Ergo Information Management Consulting, a product-independent information management consultancy established in 1999. Sheila has assisted clients in diverse industries conduct information management assessments, benchmarking, and strategic planning; develop and expand information management programs; prepare for the implementation of recordkeeping technology; and create change management, training, and performance measurement programs.
A prominent member of the information management community, Sheila has served on many ARMA boards, committees, and task forces. Sheila speaks regularly on information management topics at conferences and other education events and has published information management articles in periodicals as Canadian Facility Management and Design, Information Management Journal, and Municipal World. She is also the author and co-author of several chapters in the Records + Information Management subscription service published by Carswell.
Sheila has considerable information management teaching experience as an instructor in AIIM’s Electronic Records Management and Enterprise Content Management certificate programs, as a sessional lecturer in the Master of Information degree program at the University of Toronto’s iSchool (Faculty of Information), and as an instructor in records management fundamentals at Mohawk College. For more than fifteen years, she taught records/information management certificate courses at the University of Toronto.
Sheila holds a master’s degree in Library and Information Science from Western University and certificates in records management from Mohawk College. She also holds a certificate in adult education from St. Francis Xavier University.
